At Lund University all incoming international students are welcome to contact or visit the International Desk for assistance regarding practical matters. The International Desk is part of the International Student Mobility Group and Student Services. It is an open reception and meeting point for you throughout your time here in Lund. We offer you free coffee and information. The desk is located at the bottom floor of the "Old Surgery" (’Gamla Kirurgen’ in Swedish). In the same reception desk you also find Study guidance, Career Services, StiL-support and the International Housing Office. In this way, you will be able to bring all your questions to just one desk.
The students can apply for accommodation through the International Housing Office via the on-line application for exchange studies at Lund University.
There are a multitude of student organisations to participate in at Lund University. This offers an excellent opportunity to make friends, have somewhere to relax that you can call your own, party, listen to music, eat, drink and generally take part in student life in Sweden.
There are three main organisations, the unions, the nations and the Academic Society. The unions handle politics and student rights, the nations are social clubs and the Academic Society hosts larger events, including the student theatre ’spex’.
