On this occasion, the week started with a brief introduction to the programme, hosted by the FIPDes coordinator, Barbara Rega. After this, staff from all the consortium universities (AgroParisTech, UNINA, TU Dublin and Lund University) had the opportunity to present their programmes and thereby inspire students to find out more about the different specializations.

On the second day, the students visited Air Liquide, where they learned more about the technologies and equipment used by the company, such as biogas production, cryogenic freezing, controlled atmospheres or lipid encapsulation to obtain fat in powder form. This was an incredible opportunity for the students to learn more about the food industry and the endless areas of opportunity in food processing. To end the day, the students had a Bateau Mouche tour to get to know more about the history of Paris and take a lot of pictures with their new friends!

On Wednesday, the cohort 11 planned many entertaining activities on Campus for team building and interculturality. From charades to an incredible dance battle that decided a representative of the winning team to be in charge of FIPI, the FIPDes mascot for the past 12 years. These dynamics were really fun for both cohorts and helped reinforce values such as friendship and trust among cohorts.

A day later, the FIPDes Day was held, in which the graduating students made flash presentations of their master thesis to all attendees. More details of the event can be found in the FIPDes Day 2023 section!

Friday was the icing on the cake, as the new generation of FIPDes had the opportunity to attend the graduation of cohort 10, in which diplomas and prizes were awarded, accompanied by live music and a cocktail to celebrate the great achievement of finishing their FIPDes master’s degree!

In conclusion it can be said that the FIPDes week was a total success and an incredible experience, full of inspiration, creativity, new friendships and new beginnings!
