Erasmus Mundus scholarships

The very best candidates for the FIPDes intake 2024 will receive an Erasmus Mundus scholarship!

The EMJMD scholarships are including student participation costs (including the tuition fees, full insurance coverage and any other mandatory costs related to student participation in the course), a contribution to student travel and installation cost and a subsistence allowance for the entire duration of the EMJMD study programme.
Caution: Geographical balance is taken into account, i.e. no more than 3 candidates with the same nationality can be awarded an EMJMD scholarship during the same intake.
Details on the EMJMD student scholarship amounts are given in the table below:

Warning! Students with a double nationality must specify the nationality under which they submit their scholarship application. No change will be possible after the submission of the application.

Additional scholarships for applicants with nationalities of the following countries: Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

*Partner Country = Students who don’t have the nationality of one of the member states of the European Union, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Serbia, Turkey, United Kingdom or North Macedonia, are considered as students from Partner countries.
Partner Country students who are not residents nor have carried out their main activity (studies, training or work) for more than a total of 12 months over the last 5 years in any Programme Country are considered as Partner Country students. The 5-year reference period for this 12-months rules is calculated backwards as from the submission deadline of applying for the EMJMD scholarship.

Check if the 12-month residence rule applies to you:
"If you are a national from a Partner country and have carried out your main activity (studies, training or work) for more than a total of 12 months over the last 5 years in one or several Programme country(ies), you should apply as Programme country candidate. The wording "total of 12 months" refers to all possible cases:
- a single period in one Programme country
- several periods in one Programme country
- the sum of different periods in different Programme countries
The 5-year reference period is calculated backwards from the EMJMD scholarship application deadline. This 12-month rule does not apply to Partner country candidates who hold refugee status in a Programme country."

**Programme Country = Students who have the nationality of one of those states are considered as students from Programme countries : Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Serbia and Turkey.

Contribution to subsistence costs must not be given to:
 Programme and Partner country students for the EMJMD periods (study, research, placement, thesis preparation) spent in their country of residence.
 Partner country students for the EMJMD periods exceeding 3 months spent in any Partner country.
